Fujitsu’s new 2-in-1 tablet STYLISTIC Q738 is targeted at mobile working scenarios in demanding and unconventional environments across many industries and applications. The versatile system combines the advantages of a highly durable tablet with the productivity of a semi-ruggedized notebook, offering many benefits like high performance, day-long battery life and sophisticated connectivity and security options.
Mobile working scenarios include much more than just using a notebook or tablet while riding on a train or taking a flight. Think about maintenance specialists who repair or service all types of machinery and who need to access technical schemes and manuals as a part of this process. Think about healthcare workers who need to view patient data while performing aid or care tasks. Think about financial service specialists who provide advices to their customers in diverse environments. Or about employees engaged in many kinds of stock keeping activities.
And those are only some examples from hundreds of highly specialized occupations. What they all have in common: They require the work to be done at least partially while employees are on the go, typically standing or walking.
These are the exact usage scenarios that 2-in-1 tablets excel at. And – as you might have guessed – the above described examples belong exactly to the target groups that Fujitsu had in mind designing the new STYLISTIC Q738.
Highly durable, detachable with low weight and day-long battery life
The main target of the STYLISTIC Q738 is to combine tablet mobility and notebook productivity in one device. Fujitsu’s approach to providing the necessary characteristics was to build a highly durable, detachable 13.3 inch (33.8 cm) tablet that is extremely lean and agile – with a weight starting at only 780 grams and up to 10 hours of battery life. This gives employees the freedom to work wherever they want or have to and – at the same time – they have the chance to stay productive over the course of a complete workday. But it does not stop there: Once the battery is empty, it can recharge to 80 per cent of its capacity in just one hour.
The STYLISTIC Q738 has reinforced corners to protect against being dropped and a tough magnesium housing, making it impervious to knocks and bumps while in daily use and on the move. Its 13.3 inch (33.8 cm) anti-glare multi-touch display supports finger and pen operation and is tolerant against high input pressure levels.
Ultra-mobility meets notebook power, convenience and compatibility
While offering extensive portability and flexibility, the STYLISTIC Q738 is also an extremely powerful computing device – based on the latest 8th generation Intel processors and on the versatile and capable Windows 10 operating system. Being also compatible with universal Fujitsu device docks, the STYLISTIC Q738 can easily be integrated into an organization’s existing infrastructure.
The new 2-in-1 comes with state-of-the-art enterprise-class security including optional fingerprint and smartcard readers, and provides USB type C as well as optional 4G/LTE connectivity. A cradle and a backlit keyboard with docking enable ergonomic working while sitting at a desk.
The many benefits of the new STYLISTIC Q738 are a perfect example how Fujitsu supports the transformation of workplaces, operating conditions and applications. To keep pace with the changes caused by digitization and transformation, organizations must respond with improved workplace mobility, increased flexibility, effective communications and improved collaboration. With the new 2-in-1 tablet, Fujitsu provides a perfect answer to these requirements. The new multimode device empowers new, modern working styles both in the office and on the go, and also convincingly supports secure collaboration and information sharing between teams. The STYLISTIC Q738 is a compelling example of how Fujitsu is shaping tomorrow together with its customers.
