Fujitsu and Microsoft help Japanese businesses modernize their work style

The Japanese government has asked the business community to enable remote and mobile working for employees by the year 2020. Fujitsu modern devices with Microsoft Windows 10 Pro are helping businesses across a variety of industries meet this goal.

Supported by a recent government initiative, Japan is actively modernizing its work style. The initiative asks the business community to both support and enable remote working by the year 2020. We, at Fujitsu, are working to equip local businesses with the latest Microsoft Windows 10 Pro devices so their technology can achieve the goal of a flexible and mobile work style. We expect the next couple years to be transformative and below are some of our customers who are already experiencing the benefits…

Tobishima Construction

For Tobishima Construction, the catalyst to focus on work style was the Tōhoku earthquake in 2011. In effort to repair damaged infrastructure, they needed a mobile and light device with enhanced security to seamlessly go between the office and construction site. To efficiently operate in this unique working environment, Tobishima selected the Fujitsu LIFEBOOK U937 because it is lightweight (920g) and offers the security of biometric authentication via Windows Hello (fingerprint). To further understand their story and how they reduced their dependency from two devices to one, please watch this video:

Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma

Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma is continually looking for ways to innovate so people around the world can lead healthier lives. This mission starts with the technology provided to the medical representatives and clinical research assistants. These individuals are constantly on-the-go, collecting sensitive data, and communicating information in a variety of environments. The Fujitsu LIFEBOOK P727, which rotates 360 degrees and offers fingerprint authentication with Windows Hello, gave Sumitomo the digital dexterity they desired. Asahi Mutual Life Insurance

In January of this year, Asahi Mutual Life Insurance was looking to modernize their sales process for the convenience and security of both their customers and employees. They were using notebook PCs with Windows 7 Pro and wanted to stay within the operating system so adopted Windows 10 Pro on the Fujitsu STYLISTIC Q507 tablet. This tablet is light, mobile, and comes with a stylus pen. This is great for sales representatives who operate outside the office and need to acquire frequent signatures.
