Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador at Fujitsu

Steven has held a wide range of strategic roles in Fujitsu across both public and private sectors and until recently was responsible for leading Fujitsu’s business in the UK with Central, Local and Devolved Government and Transport. Fujitsu’s public sector clients span departments such as HMRC, the Home Office, DWP and Ministry of Justice; agencies such as the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), CAFCASS and the Environment Agency; with devolved and local government clients such as Northern Ireland Libraries and Essex; and flagship transport clients such as Crossrail, TfL and HS2.

From 1st April 2017 Steven started a secondment period to identify global best practice for Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) initiatives and determine what Fujitsu can learn from them. Alongside that he will be considering what the impact on the modern workforce will be of automation and Artificial Intelligence (AI), and what it means in particular for Fujitsu as a responsible provider of such technology.

Steven is a passionate champion of diversity and inclusion initiatives and has helped embed a more inclusive culture within the UK company which achieved number 48 in Stonewall’s Workplace Equality Index this year. Steven is executive sponsor of Shine, Fujitsu’s LGBT+ employee and ally networking group. Additionally, he is on the OUTStanding / Financial Times LGBT Top executives index, has featured on The Times’ top 50 LGBT executives in business list, and is a Stonewall Ambassador.

Steven has published articles including in HR Director magazine, speaks at Diversity and Inclusion conferences, participates in D&I related advisory boards, and has been interviewed in the media on the subject.

Steven has an MBA from Henley Management College, a degree in Physics from the University of Surrey, and is a Fellow of the British Computer Society.
