Dr Adel Rouz is the Executive Vice President and Board Member of Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe Ltd., a leading research organization based in the UK.

His career in Fujitsu spans more than twenty years. During that time he has made many contributions to evolving the company’s global and regional research and development strategies. His role has entailed working closely with external research institutions to encourage close collaboration and mutual innovation.

He joined Fujitsu in 1991 and moved into the field of research in the organization in 1996. He maintains a hands-on approach to R&D, taking the lead on a number of high profile projects. He is currently focused on initiatives that support Fujitsu’s human centric intelligent society initiative.

Today, Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe is considered to be one of the leading research and development centers in EMEIA. The Laboratories’ research is focused on four key areas; technical computing research and solutions, engineering cloud research, data analytics research, and future networking research.

Adel also leads key initiatives within Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe across activities including big data research, and simulation techniques for product lifecycle management. The Laboratories are also at the forefront of the evolution of future communications technologies, such as 5G. Adel is a member of the Fujitsu NUS (Singapore) research collaboration steering committee.

In addition, he is a member of the Industrial Advisory Board at the University of Surrey, as well as a member of the strategy advisory board of the 5G Innovation Centre. He is also a Board Member and Chair of Operations at The Park Federation Academy Trust.
