Ash Merchant has 25 years’ experience in the IT industry. Currently Director of Education at Fujitsu, Ash has held senior consultancy positions in Government advisory bodies, leading numerous initiatives to drive the uptake of technology in education. In 2011, Ash led the team from XMA and assistive technology supplier lansyst that received a Tech4Good award for providing bespoke ICT packages to enable children with disabilities to get online. Since joining Fujitsu Ash has led the Education strategy, of which the leading element is the Fujitsu Education Ambassador program, supported by Intel, Brocade and Kyocera. This programme is putting world class technology in the hands of educators and students to support digital skills development that is critical to the future of young people and our global economy.
